How did slavery affect the social and economic development of the south?

Some people got rich and some got poor then they moved away .So when the owners of the slaves fired them or let the slave go they had to go away or run away because the owners were not going to be fair to them. All of the sudden just because the owner of the slaves he let them go in fact he was still going to be mean to them or even a worse way it was not the owner choice to fire them, it was because they had release them it was not  his choice so that's why the slaves preferred to run away.  It didn't mean they were not to become rich, now that they were free they can go live in bigger cities.

How did business technology and buildings/rivers affect actions?

If they didn't have any slaves, there wouldn't be any buildings.If they didn't have slaves, there probably wouldn't be any buildings houses and many more things because if it wasn't for them, the owners of slaves wouldn't have anything they wanted because slaves did everything !
